Visalia Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Highlights
We are thrilled to share some memorable moments from the Visalia Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held on May 17, 2024. Veterans and their families came together to mark the beginning of a new era in healthcare for our Veterans. The event featured a tour of the new facilities, highlighting its impressive 23,300 square feet of space.
Event Highlights:
- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: A joyous occasion celebrating the opening of the new clinic.
- Tours: Attendees explored the state-of-the-art healthcare facilities.
- Community Gathering: Veterans and families connected and celebrated this milestone.
The Visalia CBOC officially opened its doors on May 20, 2024. We are excited for the enhanced healthcare services this clinic will provide to our veterans.

Spirit of America Youth Leadership Program – November 7-10, 2024
Join high school students from across the country in a once-in-a-lifetime leadership and civic education experience! This program offers a unique opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of America’s history, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop leadership skills.
Program Highlights:
- Mock Congressional Debate: Students participate in a mock congressional forum, learning to debate and discuss critical issues with guidance from constitutional scholars.
- Leadership Workshops: Various leadership styles are explored through the lens of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients.
- Visits to Valley Forge and Philadelphia: Experience history firsthand with tours of Valley Forge, Independence Hall, and the Liberty Bell.
Scholarships: Scholarships are available for students selected by AMVETS and AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary. For more information, please contact your local AMVETS or AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary contact or post.
