Larry Reynolds & Hank Snow (Post 2813) Receive Congessional Honors

Doug LaMalfa, U.S. representative for California’s 1st congressional district recently honored Larry Reynolds and Hank Snow of AMVETS Post 2813 in Chico with Congressional Awards recognizing their contributions to their community and to the Veterans of Chico.
Larry has Been a Member of AMVETS since 2009 and is 93 years old, he also assists on the Chico Veterans Honor Guard every chance he gets.
Hank Snow Has logged more than 14,000 hours with the Boys and Girls Club as an employee and as AMVETS Volunteer. He has been a Commander of another VSO, and served our Nation through his career spanning 3 branches of service, Army, Navy and Airforce.
These two gentlemen are well deserving of these awards and AMVETS Department of California celebrates them both upon receiving this momentous honor.
National Updates Lifetime Membership Dues for 2023-24
Per AMVETS National, Lifetime Membership dues have changed on September 1, 2023 according to the following age-based tiers:

56-64 | $400 (National $200, CA Dept retains $100, Post retains $100) |
65+ | $300 (National $150, CA Dept retains $75, Post retains $75) |

CA Service Foundation honors AMVETS Dept. of California
Our colleagues at AMVETS Department of California Serivce Foundation recently recognized our team and leadership at our department for support in their vital AMVETSONE mission to go beyond just raising awareness — to foster institutional change and make a direct impact in the lives of veterans by promoting avenues for Healing, Hope and Honor in the lives of veterans.
